Thursday's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention was so very excellent - it was hard to believe Barack spoke for over forty minutes!This photo is one of my favorites from our Alaska vacation last month. The poster was in the window of a little shop we walked past after watching the salmon swim upstream from the Turnagain Arm up the Resurrection River. There is a bit of irony in the photo after McCain's announcement of his vice presidential running mate. May Obama and Biden be as focused and successful as all those salmon!
